So you have built a restful API but without documentation, does it even exist? I love creating API’s with ExpressJS but documenting them is a pain in the ass until I found “swagger-ui-express” and “swagger-jsdoc.”
Mongoose makes working with MongoDB easier, and it’s a quicker way to get your NodeJS app up and running with MongoDB. There are pros and cons of using MongooseJS over MongoDB’s Native Node driver, but that is outside the scope of this blog.
Technology is moving fast and every day there seems to be a new way to build an app, and their way is the best, everyone has convinced themselves. Tech people are funny; we are all convinced on some level that one type of language or platform is better than others, even at Apps People we have a friendly jest about the best way to build an app.
